An unfinished project together with Pixelflakes. I was initially planning on finishing it at home, outside of school. But sometimes it is better to accept it didn't get done and move on.
Work that should have been done in Photoshop includes adding people, adding signage, making textures look more real, enhancing light and shadows, making plants look better, fixing 3d render bugs/errors, some texture in the sky,  and so on.

Our first meeting - mood board with light reference and materials as well as a sketch with suggested concept and camera angle.

Work done: Imported and correctly placed Revit models as x-refs in 3ds max, and started texturizing the models. placing three suggested cameras and choosing one in the local team. Research of city culture as it was important to the client and studying the project plan in order to find the correct materials, light and plants. Composition sketch in photoshop.

Our second meeting - work in progress.

Work done: Updating the light in 3ds max according to light reference and sun study of the actual place, texturizing more objects, and fixing problems in the models. Placing trees according to the project plan and researching plants as they were not specified. Placing 3d people in the new suggested composition as I realized I had the seating wrong in the bottom right corner in my first sketch.

Render, before post production in PS.

Work done: modeling missing seating areas and bench lights. Adding plants using Forest Pack and changing some trees as we agreed that the visibility of the café area was more important than the correct plants according to garden plans. Added café seating and moved around 3d people in the back, removing 3d people in the front as they will be replaced with photographed people in post. Updating pavement and adding new textures to background buildings.
